A Focus on Cat and Dog Behavior and Emotional Well-Being
Cat and dog behavioral problems can be worrisome and frustrating. Common challenges include:
- Separation anxiety
- Aggression around strangers and other animals
- Housetraining issues
- Fears and phobias
- Chronic barking
Through behavioral counselling, we will review the behaviors that have arisen, current health status, previous training and socialization, changes in the home, and other key factors. From this information, we can address your pet’s specific behavioral issues and make recommendations.
Some pets benefit from canine obedience and socialization classes, while others may require at–home behavior modification techniques. With respect to phobias and anxiety, medication may also prove beneficial.
Your pet’s emotional well-being is paramount to his or her overall wellness. Thankfully, many challenging pet behaviors can be successfully addressed to create a calmer, happier, and healthier pet (and pet family).
