Meet Our Staff

Dave was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. He attended NAIT for Biological Sciences and then headed off to the University of Alberta where he obtained his BSc in Zoology.

In 1990 he began his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon which he completed in 1994. After graduation, he worked for 5 years at the Spruce Grove Veterinary Clinic and then, in 1999, bought into the Blue Cross Animal Hospital.

Kelly was born and raised in and around Moncton, New Brunswick where she graduated from the New Brunswick Community College in 1979. She moved to Edmonton in 1981 and worked for a large printing company. She and Dave were married in 1989, and the next year she headed to Saskatoon with Dave where she worked at the Saskatchewan Lung Association until the birth of their daughter in 1993. She completed the Veterinary Practice Management Program through Olds College and handles the practice management and bookkeeping.

Dave and Kelly have 2 children and 1 granddaughter along with their pets, a cat named Silver, a black lab named Cinder, and a cockatiel named Dutchess.  They enjoy walking, cycling, movies and many summer activities. Winter…….not so much!

Hi! My name is Emily and I am Blue Cross' RVT! I graduated in June of 2023 from Lakeland College located in Vermilion AB. I currently reside in Spruce Grove with my family and dog "Baylee". I enjoy all aspects of veterinary medicine but my favorites include client care/education and dental procedures. You'll usually see me at the clinic 5 days a week, but in my off time I enjoy spending time with my dog and boyfriend, Chase - Whether that's hiking, camping, or just hanging out at home! 

In the future I hope to expand my expertise with a specialty or degree. I am passionate about patient care and medicine, and I look forward to what the industry and future holds! 

Hello my name is Tiffany and I am a veterinary assistant with 10 years of animal care experience, originally from BC. I have enjoyed developing meaningful relationships with both our clients and our patients. I truly believe that it helps to impact the level of care and medicine we are able to offer. In my free time I enjoy gardening, painting rocks, and growing my knowledge of animal care. I have a huge heart for animals of all kinds and have two dogs and two cats at home.

Tasha returned to us in 2021 after venturing away for a few years.  Prior to that, Blue Cross was her home for over 5 years.  She graduated with honours from NAIT’s Veterinary Administrative Assistant course in 2009 and has been working in the veterinary industry ever since.  She has 2 wonderful tortoiseshell cats named Sushi and Tofu and a hedgehog name Cactus.  In her free time she enjoys art, music, movies and the shops on Whyte Avenue.  We are happy to have her back.
