When not working, Smokey can be found walking and throwing frisbee with her two dogs and playing or watching her two kids play soccer. She also enjoys spending time in her garden, cooking, baking and canning, canoeing and playing music.

Taylor grew up on Prince Edward Island, next to the beach! She was surrounded by animals of all kinds and sizes and knew that she always wanted to work with animals. She moved to Edmonton and attended the Veterinary Medical Assistant program at NAIT and started working at Blue Cross Animal Hospital shortly after. She will be going back to NAIT in the fall of 2025 to complete the 2 year Veterinary Technologist program.
